If you are caught giving away less than one ounce of marijuana, without receiving any payment, it is known as a petty offense with a $100 fine; however, if you are caught selling any amount of marijuana (money exchanged) it will be a felony offense with a prison term of two to six years and a fine of up to $500,000.
Paraphernalia:
If you are caught with paraphernalia or selling paraphernalia it is known as a petty offense in Colorado, and requires a $100 fine.
