One of the big news issues around the City of Royal Oak is the debate over the use of medical marijuana. The Royal Oak City Council has voted to keep the ban on the use of medical marijuana in Royal Oak. Do not expect this to stop the protests that have gone on around the city.
I spoke to a few of the protestors after the Royal Oak City Council passed their vote. Some of them stated that there is a plan to continue to picket this issue, even though the motion has passed. Expect to see at least some protestors outside of the Royal Oak City Council meetings for at least a short time. There are also plans to protest about medical marijuana in Royal Oak at other city events.
